The new Etex Innovation and Technology Centre breaks ground

Yesterday marked the official start of construction for Etex’s new Innovation and Technology Centre in Kapelle-op-den-Bos.

Designed by Archipelago in close collaboration with Etex, M-gineers and BAM Interbuild, the future ITC building will become a lightweight flagship for Etex and a dedicated home for the Innovation and Technology Centre of its Fibre Cement platform.

More than a workplace, the building is conceived as a living lab: a place where sustainability, adaptability and innovation come together, and where new Etex materials can be tested and applied in forward-looking ways.

At the heart of the project is a Lightweight Steel Frame structure, enabling a faster, high-quality construction process through extensive prefabrication, while reducing material use and construction waste.
